Arctowski Station, Antarctica
This lovely bay was home to the Arctowski Research Station and was our second destination in Antarctica.

At the head of the beautiful Admiralty Bay lies Arctowski Station, a Polish research station. At the tip of their peninsula is their fuel bunker, safely away from the housing. Some of the researchers came out by zodiac to speak with us. The main portion of the station. A very friendly lone Chinnie who swam around the ship for quite awhile posing for us. While we were keeping station off the base, a Chilean helicopter came by to check us out. After buzzing us, it landed at Arctowski Base. We were told that this base serves as the central repair facility for the area, and this is normal. However, the imp in me couldn't help thinking that Chile was invading while the male scientists were aboard our ship and the women were left alone.
