Looking into the main inside gateway, you see the immediate City rooves, but in the background is an artificial "mountain" that was built to help the feng shui of the City. It is believed having a hill at the back keeps the positive energy from flowing out of the City. The entire City is built upon feng shui principles. And I have to say there is a peaceful energy in there, even when amongst thousands of other tourists. At the top of the hill were 2 "family" pagodas.
