The next morning, we went to the Bund, the old section of Shanghai. Across the river was the new city. The tall tower you see is the television tower, one of the tallest buildings in Asia. The lower building beneath it is the International Conference Center. Unfortunately the day was gray and wet, but still a beautiful vista. Singapore is quite a modern city.
