About Amber Waves Photography

Amber Blecker's photographic and underwater explorations began at a very early age.  In elementary school, she began developing her own pictures.  Growing up with a mother who was a scuba diver from the 1960s, and living part-time in Hawaii, it was only natural that she took her first breaths off a scuba tank when she was 10.

A native of Colorado, Amber also grew up in Alaska and Hawaii, and has been fortunate to travel the world.  The name "Amber Waves" comes from both her name and love of the underwater world, but also the American folk song written in Colorado containing that phrase.  The combination epitomizes her love of earth and water.

Now Amber is an accomplished underwater photographer, exhibiting in prestigious galleries in Colorado.  Two of her photographs have become postage stamps in Turks & Caicos.  She counts among her clients divers and non-divers alike, and has other professional photographers among her fans and clients.

Her pictures reflect her love of the fun and humorous, along with the beautiful and peaceful.  She takes pictures of places and creatures others dream about.  She's always motivated by what makes her smile, what makes her happy or calm, and what she wants to share with others of the amazing world both above and under water.

A travel agent, Amber has numerous opportunities to travel places many of us dream about, ranging from Europe, China, the South Pacific, the Caribbean and more.

Share her exploration of the world, and bring it into your life!
